Transport Ministry meets Japanese company North Star interested in investing in Libya

Libya’s Tripoli based Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, and Qatar’s Minister of Transport, Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohamed Al-Thani, signed (last Friday 31 January) the update of the Air Services Agreement previously signed by the two countries in April 2004.‎

‎The Libyan Ministry said the signing comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations in the field of air transport. Specifically, the update of the agreement comes with the aim of amending its terms to become more flexible and in line with modern developments in the civil aviation sector, which contributes to strengthening cooperation between the two countries and facilitating air transport.‎

‎The two sides also discussed ways to develop relations in the fields of transport and communications, aspects of cooperation in civil aviation, and opportunities to enhance partnership between the competent authorities in the two countries.‎

‎The signing ceremony was attended by the head of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed Shlebek, and his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed Al-Hajri, in charge of running the work of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.‎
