During his meeting with the directors of Eni, Total, Repsol and Wintershall on the sidelines of the Libyan Energy Week, the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, discussed ways to expand the circle of partnership in the field of oil production, processing and exploration.
The NOC reported yesterday that Bengdara told the directors of the companies that the NOC intends to open the door soon for a public tender round to obtain exploration opportunities, which has been idle for more than 17 years, motivating these companies to double their investment opportunities in Libya.
Bengdara had inaugurated last Tuesday the fifth edition of the Libyan Energy Week (3 – 5 December) in Cairo with the participation of more than 28 representatives of major oil companies and organizations worldwide.
