After being stranded at Sofia Airport (Bulgaria) and being out of service for more than eight years, maintenance work has resumed on Afriqiyah Airways’ Airbus 319 plane, the Libyan Embassy in Sofia revealed last Thursday (9 May).
The embassy reported that the this came after direct follow-up and coordination between Libya’s Administrative Control Authority, the Libyan Embassy in Sofia, and Afriqiyah Airways.
The embassy said that the aircraft is expected return to Libya and join the company’s fleet this August.
