During a meeting with Simon Desindes, General Manager of TotalEnergies in Libya, the General Union of Chambers explored prospects for cooperation in the fields of energy and economic development, as well as ways to strengthen partnerships with French companies.

The General Union of Chambers reported that the discussion addressed the Union’s role in supporting the private sector and fostering trade and investment relations. It also examined potential contributions by TotalEnergies to development projects—most notably a solar energy project south of Misrata—and the possibility of leveraging the company’s technical expertise in this sector.

Furthermore, the Union invited the General Manager to visit the Misrata Free Zone to gain insight into its capabilities and available investment opportunities, and to discuss potential areas for collaboration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to maintain coordination and explore partnership opportunities that serve mutual economic interests, support development in Libya, and bolster economic and commercial ties between Libya and France.
