France expresses desire to cooperate with Libya in railroads and metro projects

France expressed its desire to cooperate with Libya in its railways and metro projects.

The sentiment was expressed during a meeting held last Thursday (25 April) where Libyan Railroads, headed by its chairman Saeed Al-Kilani, hosted the French Economic Counsellor from the French Embassy in Libya at its Tripoli headquarters.

Libyan Railroads reported that the Economic Counsellor added that French companies were ready to provide consulting and technical engineering support, as well as mobile units, operation and maintenance.

In turn, the Chairman of Libyan Railroads expressed the readiness of his agency to discuss with French companies opportunities for cooperation in terms of implementation or investment in railway and city train projects. (Metro) in Tripoli, Benghazi and Misrata.

In conclusion, the two parties agreed to continue communication for further discussion on the matter.
