Libya’s Food and Drug Control Centre announced last Saturday (27 January) that it had rejected a shipment of counterfeit Renpol Extra cough syrup from entering Libya at Mitiga airport.

It said the reason for its rejection of the shipment arriving from India was ‘‘commercial fraud in addition to the lack of an explanatory leaflet for the product.’’
