Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced that it has lifted the state of force majeure on the Sharara oilfield.
It reports that the field is returning to full production.
It will be recalled that the NOC had declared a state of force majeure on the Sharara oilfield on Sunday 7 January after local protesters had forced the field to close.
The protesters were ostensibly demonstrating against local grievances such as shortages of supplies, including vehicle fuel and cooking gas.
