AGOCO discusses with MAN Turbo its advanced technology in maintenance and construction

Mohamed Ben Shatwan, Chairman of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO), received in his office last Tuesday Abu Bakr Mohamed Al-Taher in his capacity as the Sales and Designated Director of MAN Energy Solutions, known as MAN Turbo.

AGOCO reported that the meeting comes within the framework of consolidating and strengthening the bonds of cooperation with various companies operating in the field of oil and German and Swiss manufacturers and engineering companies.

The meeting discussed the continuing history of cooperation between AGOCO and MAN, which dates to 1960, while Ben Shatwan gave a brief overview of AGOCO’s current production capabilities and its aspirations to increase production.

Al-Taher pointed to the interactive follow-up between MAN and the maintenance department of AGOCO in all relevant fields through direct meetings at the company’s office in Benghazi and via MS Teams platforms.

Applying MAN’s modern technologies
Al-Taher also expressed his pleasure to review the capabilities of MAN to advance and support AGOCO in maintenance projects and engineering construction projects to apply modern technologies.

Environmentally friendly solutions
He also looked forward to helping implement environmentally friendly future projects to improve and increase production in the field of rotating machines (Turbomachinery), as well as the company’s ability in solutions that support the environment by taking advantage of burnt exhausts and gaseous emissions, in line with the strategic objectives of AGOCO and MAN.

Solar energy
Engineer Abu Bakr Muhammad Al-Taher stressed the importance of generating energy using technologies that exploit the oil company’s geographical and energy capabilities, including solar energy.

MAN’s international experience
The two sides agreed to further cooperation, holding meetings and sharing MAN’s experience in projects represented around the world as a follow-up to meeting with the Engineering and Construction Department.
