Libya’s Customs Authority announced last Thursday that it had seized at Khoms Port an illegal shipment of 500 hunting rifles that were hidden inside wooden furniture shipped from Turkey.
In a similar vein, the Customs Authority had announced on 23 September that it had seized an illegal shipment of 820 hunting rifles and 430 ammunition boxes at Khoms port. The smuggled items were hidden in a mixed container on board the ship Marceleau Valena (docked on 14 September).
The GAMO branded hunting rifles were of Spanish origin, the Customs Authority reported.
