Based on the directives of the Minister of Economy and Trade to discuss investment prospects in Libya, the Minister’s Advisor, Shazar Essaid, met with the Chairman of the Arab-Turkish Association for Businessmen and Investors, Ismail Al-Tun last Friday in Istanbul.

The meeting was in the presence of the Commercial Attaché at the Libyan Consulate General of Istanbul, Omar Darhoub, the Director General of the Association and the representative of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Nouri bin Othman, and several business owners and investors in a variety of fields.

The meeting was to enhance the role of the private sector in the two countries, to increase the volume of trade exchange and establish partnerships with the foreign investor, which contributes to supporting Libya’s economy and diversifying its sources of income.

At the meeting, it was agreed to establish a Libyan-Turkish forum in Tripoli in the near future in cooperation with the General Authority for Exhibitions, as well as the formation of a delegation of business owners and investors to visit Libya to see investment opportunities.‎
