Last Thursday, the state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that after a decade-long break, Sarir Oil Operations has successfully conducted tests to resume operations at the Jikharra gas exploitation plant in contractual area 91.

The company is now commencing the extraction and transportation of gas and condensates to the Sahel field of the Sirte Oil Company and the Zueitina oil port.

The announcement comes as part of the NOC’s long-term plans to increase oil production.
