The activities of the fourth session of the SOFTinspace conference (20 to 21 June) concluded in Istanbul on Wednesday.

Strong Libyan participation
The banking and Fintech event was sponsored by prominent institutions in the banking sector, including Libya’s Assaray Trade and Investment Bank (ATIB), Tadawul Technology, Tadawul Financial Group, Jumhouria Bank and Libyan Islamic Bank and co-organised by Libya’s Sectors Development Forums (SDF).

More than 500 sector experts participated
More than 500 experts in the banking and banking sector, including executive directors of a group of the most important institutions operating in the field and the most important influencers in the industry participated in the event.

The conference attracted 60 speakers who participated in in-depth discussion sessions distributed over 10 areas with a variety of topics. The attendees represented various institutions, including 200 banks, 200 financial technology companies, 100 emerging financial companies, and 25 regulators, from 45 different countries distributed between North Africa and the Middle East, in addition to the United States of America.

In-depth discussion sessions
Attendees had the opportunity to follow in-depth discussion sessions on digital transformation and emerging technologies, regulation and governance, customized applications, financial technology, digital currencies, and the expected impact of artificial intelligence technology on the sector.

A focus on digital transformation
They were also given the opportunity to ask questions to experts at the end of each session, to ensure maximum benefit. The attendees focused on the importance of digital transformation as an urgent need in light of the rapid technological development that the world is witnessing and its impact on the banking sector and tangible changes in customer preferences.

SOFTinspace is an annual banking sector event
It is noteworthy that SOFTinspace is an annual event dedicated to bringing together opinion leaders and decision-makers in the banking sector under one roof to discuss the most important changes in the industry and the most prominent challenges facing its employees, while trying to find solutions and creating new initiatives based on communication and networking between the concerned institutions from different countries of the world.
