New GECOL board and chairman resume duties

The new General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) board and its chairman, Mohamed Omar Hassan Al-Mashay resumed their duties in their roles yesterday, GECOL confirmed.

The official handover was the outgoing board and chairman was conducted by the committee assigned by caretaker Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba in his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors of GECOL.

The new chairman and board immediately held a meeting that included the recently Aldabaiba-appointed General Manager, Mohamed Ismail.
