The Annual Meeting to follow up on the Prime Minister’s Initiatives and Strategic Projects was held yesterday, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Tripoli government reported that this year’s meeting included approximately 100 strategic projects and initiatives across various sectors. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Waleed Al-Lafi, and the Head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister’s Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Mana.
The meeting focused on monitoring the readiness of the projects and initiatives included in the 2026 plan, ensuring their preparedness for official launch and opening to the public. It also addressed the approval of final implementation timelines and the monitoring of performance indicators to guarantee the achievement of targeted results and the delivery of high-quality services.
The meeting also emphasized strengthening coordination among implementing entities, maximizing the utilization of available resources, and directing relevant parties to fully adhere to approved implementation plans. The pace of completion was accelerated, with close monitoring of implementation phases to ensure continuous progress across all projects.
The Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs conveyed the directives of the Prime Minister, Abd Alhameed Aldabaiba, who stressed the importance of full compliance with readiness standards before opening. This ensures the achievement of the desired strategic impact of these projects and contributes to improving the level of services provided to citizens in all regions.
Representatives from the Organisation for the Development of Administrative Centers (ODAC), the Transportation Projects Implementation Authority, the Housing and Infrastructure Board (HIB), the Development Fund, the management of Zumurrud Company, Al-Andalus Tourism Investment Company, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), the Great Man-Made River Project Implementation and Management Authority, the Roads and Bridges Authority, the National Well Drilling Authority, the Ministry of Health, the Government Communication Centre, the Training and Development Centre at the Ministry of Education, the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank, and several other relevant government agencies participated in the meeting.
