A contract was signed in Tripoli yesterday for the construction of a new departures terminal at Misrata airport. The contract was signed between Libya’s Airports Authority and the Al-Jamal General Contracting Company.

During the meeting, initial designs for the departure hall were adopted and it was also agreed on the need to complete the designs to include the construction of an integrated passenger terminal, including an arrivals hall and a VIP lounge, developing and expanding the car park, improving the entrances to the airport and the front perimeter.

It was also agreed to hand over the work site to the implementing company by today in order to prepare the work site and start construction work.
