Tripoli, 7 August 2017:

Mustafa Gadara, the secretary-general of the Arab Youth Union who was kidnapped from a downtown hotel in Tripoli on Wednesday, has been freed. He was released yesterday.

Currently based in Tunis, he said today that he had been in Tripoli to collect Libya’s membership fees for the union from the foreign ministry.

It is not been disclosed if a ransom was paid, or what happened to the fees.
