Benghazi, 23 January 2016:
The Libyan Air Force said that it today carried out air strikes against IS vehicles . . .[restrict]in Ben Jawad, the town seized by the terrorists last week and used as a jumping-off point for the devastating attacks on Sidra and Ras Lanuf.
Air Force spokesman Nasser Al-Hassi said that the raids by Mig-21s, he did not state how many, had caused the terrorists heavy losses in both lives and materiel.
The targets, he said, included vehicles mounting medium and heavy weapons. There is no photographic corroboration of the damage that the fighters inflicted and IS, as is usual, have not commented on their losses. [/restrict]
