Ghariyan, 17 April 2015:

Employees of the Ministry of Culture and Civil Society in Ghariyan have taken matters into . . .[restrict]their own hands to create a suitable workplace for the ministry.

Director of the office Sabri Swissi told the Libya Herald that the ministry headquarters was damaged during revolution and little had been done since then to restore the building. He said that he had attempted to procure funds from the government to do the necessary repairs, but to no avail.

Office staff, apparently frustrated with the situation, made calls for donations and raised the money locally to repair the building.
