By Libya Herald reporter.

Malta, 18 March 2015:

The government of Prime Minister Abdullah Thinni, the only internationally recognized government in Libya, has . . .[restrict]warned against dealings with any unauthorized parties attempting to sell Libyan crude oil.

This warning by the Thinni government comes on the back of news that unauthorized individuals have been illegally attempting to market the sale of Libyan crude oil abroad. The statement comes on the back of news that unauthorized individuals have been illegally attempting to market the sale of Libyan crude oil abroad.

The Libyan government would like to draw the attention of all the organizations and companies contracted with the Libyan state in the area of oil and gas through the NOC, that Government borne out of the Libyan parliament (the House of Representatives), the only legitimate representative of the Libyan people, is the only legitimate authority that deals with all the contracted parties with the NOC and it is the only concern authorized to sell oil and gas, yesterday’s statement read.

The government drew attention to all executive concerned with companies contracted with the Libyan government that Al-Amary Mohamed Al-Amary does not hold any position with either the Libyan government or the NOC, the statement added.

The government assured that any processes of contracting or sale that takes place outside the legal and legitimate framework represented in the form of the NOC whose board is chaired by Mabruk Busaif Mraja based in the city of Benghazi – is considered illegal and the transgressors will bear the consequences of the legal steps, the statement concluded.

The statement by the Thinni government comes on the back of news that unauthorized individuals have been illegally attempting to market the sale of Libyan crude oil abroad.

It will be recalled that there has been a tug-of-war between the two contending ‘’governments’’ of Libya over who has the right to sell the country’s crude oil and gas – and therefore who has access to its revenue. [/restrict]
