Gunmen broke into Hawari Medical Centre yesterday, vandalising the place and stealing medications and medical equipment from its . . .[restrict]store as well as driving off with a new car belonging to the centre.
“Armed men broke into the Hawari Medical Centre, vandalised offices and stole a vehicle,” Al-Hawari hospital spokesperson Hani Al-Araibi told the Libya Herald. Staff were also threatened. No one was injured, he said, However, they had fled.
The Medical Centre is a small department, attached to the Hawari Hospital. Although the hospital is closed, the medical centre had remained opened – until yesterday’s attack. It has now closed.
