Tripoli, 4 July 2014:
Gunman broke into the Tripoli home of the Minister of Culture, Habib Al-Amin, last night.
Neither the . . .[restrict]minister nor his family were present at the time, but according to the Libyan news agency LANA, the gunmen stole papers, vandalised the place, including shooting in his bedroom and at security cameras around the building, stuck a knife into personal photos and left a threatening letter.
Its contents have not been divulged.
Al-Amin, along with Justice Minister Salah Al-Marghani, was a key ally of the former premier, Ali Zeidan, and, since he was sacked, has played the same role with the present prime minister. As such, both he and Marghani have become a focus of hostility on the part of various revolutionaries and Islamists opposed to the government. [/restrict]
