The Libyan basketball cup final between Al-Ittehad and Al-Nasr due to have taken place yesterday in . . .[restrict]Benghazi postponed at the last minute because of security concerns.
The match was scheduled to be played at the city’s Sulaiman AL-Derrat hall. It has tentatively been rescheduled for Tuesday by the Libyan Basketball Federation.
”We postponed the match because of the current security issue, but it should be played on next Tuesday,” Abdul Hakim Matug, head of the federation, told the Libya Herald.
Al-Ittehad representing the Western region reached the final after defeating Al-Shabab Al-Arabi 67 – 58 in the semi-final on 28 May. Al-Nasr, representing the eastern region, defeated Al-Hilal 59 – 32 in the semi-final on 3 June. [/restrict]
