Riyadh, 16 January 2014:
The Prime Minister is in the Saudi . . .[restrict]Arabian capital, Riyadh, for meetings with the Saudi government. He arrived yesterday morning at Riyadh airbase, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Abdulaziz, the Higher Education Minister Mohamed Abu Bakr and Religious Endowments Minister Ali Hamouda. Following their arrival he had talks with the Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
Today there were talks with Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is both Deputy Saudi Premier and Minister of Defense. He also had disciussions with Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the advisor to King Abdullah.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, talks at both meetings focused on ways of furthering relations between the two countries as well as regional and international developments.
The situation in Egypt is believed to have been among issues discussed. Saudi Arabia is known to be opposed to the Muslim Brotherhood, particularly in Egypt and supportive of the new constitution currently being voted on. [/restrict]
