Tebu residents have demonstrated in Murzuk in protest at Saturday’s attacks on Tebus in Ajdabiya . . .[restrict]which resulted in the death of one man.
A local political activist in Murzuk, Khaled Wahli, who was victim of an attempted Tripoli kidnapping in May, told the Libya Herald that large numbers of the town’s Tebu community took part in a rally yesterday evening condemning the Ajdabiya incident.
Wahli said that the demonsrators blamed the government for not protecting Ajdabiya’s Tebus.
The head of Murzuk’s Council of Elders, Allahuza Yousif, said the government had a responsibility to protect all civilians. He claimed that the Tebus were in as bad a situation now as they were during the Qaddafi era. [/restrict]
