Tripoli, 27 June 2013:
The people of Misrata will now benefit from better health care services, with the opening of a new accident and emergency department in the city’s Central Hospital.
The Minister of Health, Nurideen Abdulhamid Doghman, opened Misrata’s new accident and emergency department earlier this week. It is now fully-operational for patients from the city and neighbouring towns.
The department has five operating theatres and an intensive care unit, as well as beds for up to 120 patients, according to the Libyan News Agency LANA. [/restrict]
