The Libyan junior, cadet and ladies golf teams rounded up their participation at the 32nd Pan . . .[restrict]Arab Golf Championship in Bahrain on a high note as golfer Ahmed Ramadan Sassi won a gold medal in the process. The competition which was held from the 24th till the 30th of last month witnessed the participation of 14 Arab countries: Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oman, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar and host country, Bahrain.
The Libyan senior golf team was composed of Ahmed Ramadan Sassi, Loutfy Ramadan Sassi and Ali Ramadan Sassi. The junior’s roster included three golfers, Mohamed Loutfy Sassi, Nadeer Mustapha Hbaraat and Mohamed Abdulhaleem, whereas the ladies’ team was composed of Aicha Idriss Hbaraat and Tasneem Abdullah Hbaraat.
On the final day of the event, Libya totalled 980 strokes as its senior team ranked 7th, while its cadet and women teams ranked 8th and 3rd, respectively. The Moroccan senior golf team claimed final victory of the championship as they ranked first, totalling 921 strokes for 4 days. Bahrain came in second position with 922, just one stroke more than victors, Morocco. Qatar finished the podium as they ranked third at 941 strokes. [/restrict]
