Tripoli, 9 September:
The Benghazi home of the commander of army units in Sebha, Colonel Wanis Bukhamada, was attacked this morning. Two . . .[restrict]bombs were thrown at it at around four o’clock in the morning. Only one went off; the other failed to explode. No one was hurt.
Guards shot at the unknown assailant but he managed to escape.
This is the second time that Bukhamada has been targeted. The first time was in Sebha.
He was sent to Sebha in March at the head of a 2,000-strong force to pacify the town and region following prolonged deadly clashes between Tebus and Arabs that resulted in 147 dead and 395 wounded. [/restrict]
