“Liberated” equipment in Houn returned to owners

Tripoli, 8 May:

The Taqrift Martyrs Battalion of the 17 February Martyrs Brigade based in Houn in Jufra area has handed over . . .[restrict]all machinary and equipment in its possession to the companies operating in the town.

The commander of Taqrift Martyrs Battalion, Ehmida  Bashir Ehmida confirmed that the equipment had been returned to representatives of ODAC (Organisation for the Developemnt of Administrative Centres), the General Electric Company, Jufra air base and Alcatel, the French telecommunications company operating in the area.

He said, according to Libyan News Agency, that declarations had been made, lists of equipment signed and delivery notes receipted, stressing that the thuwar kept the equipment and machinery safe and sound over the past six months.  It included tractors and numerous types of trucks for transporting heavy loads or fuel or water.

He called upon all other thuwar throughout the country to return all equipment in their position to the Libyan state or to private companies so enable the process of reconstruction to begin. [/restrict]
