Tripoli, 5 November 2014:
Egyptian authorities have again closed Egypt’s western border crossing to Libyans heading into Egypt Tuesday . . .[restrict]morning, except for those with Egyptian wives or mothers.
According to a source within Libyan security, the decision to close the crossing followed an incident when a group of Egyptians tried to force their way over the border.
Libyan security forces then fired shots into the air in order to disperse the crowd, which apparently angered Egyptian authorities and led them to shut down their side of crossing.
It is unknown when they plan to re-open it. [/restrict]
