Tripoli, 24 September 2014:
Property in Tripoli and Misrata connected to a newly-appointed . . .[restrict]minister in Abdullah Al-Thinni’s new government has been looted and burnt today.
Interior Minister Omar Al-Sunki, who is from Misrata, was only given his job on Monday, after the House of Representatives finally endorsed Thinni’s cabinet line-up.
The torching of these two homes is only the latest of a series of attacks on the property of political rivals, largely in Tripoli, since Libya Dawn forces took control.
Political and militia leaders, as well as the Grand Mufti Sheikh Sadik Al-Ghariani had condemned the wave of looting and destruction, blaming it on criminal gangs and announcing tighter security
