 Tripoli, 11 December 2013:

The Sixth Libyan International Motor Show has opened in the Tripoli Fairground, after being delayed for . . .[restrict]a month over security concerns.

One of the stars of the show is Renault’s new family of SUVs, the Lodgy and the Duster.

“We are introducing the Renault brand in Libya for the first time,” he told the Libya Herald.

Renault Libya is represented by Al Fedya Automotive Renault. The company which has been providing spare parts for the last 20 years, also runs a maintenance and customer service centre.

Renault is offering a range of cars in Libya from the compact to the family vehicles, along with SUVs and 4x4s.

Libya is the second country in the MENA region to introduce the Lodgy  said El Prince.

The new car is designed for budget-conscious big families and companies. Starting at LD 17,000, El Prince thinks the Lodger will suit the needs of anyone looking for a vehicle with a wide range of uses.

Renault’s other SUV, the Duster, has a full range of options, can and has been modified to take part in rallies.

“It also matches with Libyan nature with its dusty roads. It caters to families living outside urban areas as well,” explained El Prince.

The motor show has drawn exhibitors and guests from all over the country. There are veteran and vintage vehicles and classic cars and motorcycles, including Harley-Davison. There are also displays from the Hamada and Fezzan rallies.

The motor show finishes on Saturday, 14 December. [/restrict]
