Tripoli, 8 February 2013:
Alitalia is planning to suspend flights between Libya and Italy from 15 to 17 February, an airline industry . . .[restrict]source told the Libya Herald today.
Tonight, no flights between Tripoli and Rome could be booked on the Alitalia website over these three days, giving credence to the reported suspension.
The move is believed to be a reaction to increasing concerns about unrest around the anniversary period of the revolution. No-one from Alitalia in Tripoli or Rome could be contacted this evening.
Lufthansa and Austrian Air cancelled all flights to Libya last week amidst security concerns.
