Tripoli, 10 December:
Egypt is to collaborate with Libya in producing short films and documentaries charting their respective revolutions and other themes . . .[restrict]of mutual interest.
The announcement was made on Saturday by Egyptian ambassador to Libya Hesham Abdul Wahab, who said that Egypt would also be providing training to aspiring Libyan filmmakers.
The initiative is part of a broad collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, the Libyan Film Club, and the Egyptian Cultural Centre in Tripoli, headed by Egypt’s Cultural Counsellor in Libya Alhilali Sherbani.
“Cooperation has begun to produce a Libyan-Egyptian documentary to shed light on the Libyan and Egyptian revolutions and their events, in an attempt to reach the citizens of both countries”, Abdul Wahab said.
