The Libyan-Turkish Business Forum for Building Materials and Construction Supplies commenced last Tuesday (12 May) in Benghazi.
Several Turkish companies specializing in the building materials sector participated. The forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation, open new avenues for investment and partnership in reconstruction and development projects and expand communication between businesspeople in Libya and Turkey.
In the presence of Munim Naji Al-Saity, Chairman of Benghazi Chamber of Commerce; Ramadan Boubtana, its Director of the Economic and International Relations Department; Fouad Al-Awam, Director General of the General Authority for Exhibitions; and the Turkish Deputy Consul, the forum, which Benghazi Chamber said represents an important platform for enhancing economic cooperation between the two sides, was launched.
Al-Saity emphasized that this forum comes within the framework of supporting reconstruction efforts and contributes to building direct partnerships and agreements with Turkish companies. This will enhance the availability of building materials, improve supply chains, and contribute to reducing supply costs within the local market.
