The General Union of Chambers received last Sunday (10 May) Daniel Schemsky, Deputy Ambassador of Germany, as part of efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries.
He was received by the Chairman of the Union, the Director General of the Union, and Union advisors.
The meeting addressed the importance of developing economic relations and the ongoing arrangements for the Libyan-German Forum, which is being organized by the General Union in partnership with the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The forum is scheduled to take place on May 19-20, 2026, in Tripoli, with high-level participation from German companies and institutions, and in the presence of a number of businesspeople and those interested in economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
