Misrata Chamber of Commerce discussed the possibility of holding a Libyan Indian trade exhibition in Misrata.
The proposal was discussed yesterday when Misrata Chamber of Commerce received Hafiz Rahman Mohamed, the Ambassador of India to Libya, and his accompanying delegation, at the Chamber’s Misrata headquarters. The meeting was attended by Misrata Chamber Chairman, members of the Board and several Chamber officials.
Misrata Chamber said the Ambassador’s visit aimed to support the development of economic and trade relations between Libya and India and to enhance direct communication between the business communities of both countries. This, with the aim of opening broader horizons for investment and the exchange of expertise in the fields of industry, construction, and trade.
The Libyan Indian economic exhibition in Misrata is also aimed at contributing to expanding cooperation opportunities and strengthening partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
The Ambassador also visited Misrata Free Zone
It will be noted that during his visit to the city of Misrata, this Ambassador also held a meeting with Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) where MFZ reported that it discussed strengthening economic and investment cooperation and had invited Indian companies and investors to enter the Libyan market through the zone.
The Ambassador was also briefed on the MFZ’s operational capabilities and the attractive investment environment it offers for economic, commercial, and logistical activities.
