Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) reported yesterday that its Chairman, Mohsen Al-Sagoutri, received representatives from the British company Lorasco, the Egyptian company AFM, and Sasso Oil Services, one of the companies working with the American company Halliburton in managing drilling fluid operations and technologies. The meeting aimed to explore investment and expansion opportunities within the Misrata Free Zone.
MFZ said the meeting came as part of its strategic direction to enhance the infrastructure of the MFZ port as a logistical base for providing services to companies operating in oil and gas projects.
Launching a Mud Plant Project within MFZ
The meeting addressed prospects for cooperation in the fields of logistics and supporting industries, and discussed the possibility of implementing key projects, most notably the Mud Plant project. MFZ said this project will contribute to technology transfer and the exchange of expertise, creating a more competitive and sustainable investment environment for companies operating in drilling and exploration projects in the energy sector.
MFZ affirmed that these meetings are part of its efforts to attract international and regional companies, promote investment growth, and increase the private sector’s contribution to supporting the national economy.
