The 2nd EU-Libya Film Festival to be held in Tripoli from 20 to 22 January

EU to end Operation Sophia and to launch new Mediterranean operation to monitor UN Libya arms embargo

The second edition of the EU-Libya Film Festival will be held in Tripoli from 20 to 22 January 2026 as follows:

– 19 January, private grand opening night: Rise (Libya, 2024) and Vicky and her mystery (France, 2021), hosted by the EU Delegation and the Embassy of France.

– 20 January: Champions (Spain, 2018), hosted by the Embassy of Spain

– 21 January: Contra (Germany, 2020), hosted by the Embassy of Germany.

Location: The General Authority for Cinema, Theatre, and Arts. Zawiya Street, Tripoli.

The event is hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to Libya in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Political Affairs, the General Authority for Cinema, Theatre, and Arts and close collaboration with the embassies of France, Spain, Germany, and Italy.
