The Tripoli based Libyan government reported on 8 January that a meeting was held on the same day to follow up on the progress of the Zumurrud (Emerald) Mall investment project in Tripoli.

The meeting was attended by Mustafa Al-Manea, Head of the Executive Team for PM’s Initiatives and Strategic Projects; Jumaa Kousa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zumurrud Company; Engineer Nawal Omran, a member of the Prime Minister’s team; the project’s consulting team from Hill International; and representatives of the consortium of implementing companies.

The attendees discussed several issues, including reviewing incoming supplies from abroad and approving all designs for the project’s completion, while emphasizing the need to adhere to the established deadlines and approved standards.
