The Audit Bureau reported yesterday that the head of the Libyan Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed on Tuesday with the relevant parties the observations of the Audit Bureau on the partnership agreement between the Long-Term Investment Portfolio and the Libyan Development and Investment Holding Company (LIDCO) regarding the establishment of the stalled Tripoli Gate 2 “Zumurrud” (Emarald) project.‎

‎Strategic importance of the project site
Shakshak stressed the strategic importance of the project site, as it is at one of the entrances to the city of Tripoli and its impact on the development of the region, in addition to encouraging the partnership model while ensuring fair investment and equal opportunities in obtaining the largest return for all parties.‎

Success of project will encourage investment
‎The directors of the competent departments referred to the Audit Bureau’s observations, stressing the need to take them into account, address them and take the necessary recommendations, stressing at the same time that the success of the project will be a strong motivation to encourage investment.‎
