Libya and Shell discuss several areas of cooperation

The Ministry of Oil and Gas, in partnership with the National Oil Corporation, concluded the Libya-Africa International Gas Forum, held in Tripoli from 6 to 7 December, with, the Ministry said, broad participation from senior energy sector officials and international and regional companies.

The forum focused on Libya’s renewed role in the gas industry and its promising potential to support regional and international energy security, in addition to discussing investment opportunities in exploration, development, infrastructure, and digital transformation.

During the event, the Minister of Oil and Gas held a series of meetings with several international companies to follow up on their projects in Libya and review prospects for future cooperation. The Ministry said this reflects its commitment to strengthening partnerships and developing the gas sector according to a modern national vision.

The Ministry said the forum represents an important step towards repositioning Libya on the African and global energy map and opening new horizons for economic and investment cooperation.
