Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported today that its subsidiary, the Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Company, has begun restarting its ethylene plant after completing comprehensive maintenance work carried out through national technical efforts.
The NOC said the first phase included introducing naphtha into the thermal cracking furnaces and operating the main compressor, according to an operational plan that adheres to the highest safety standards to ensure the safe and stable operation of equipment and personnel.
Production of final products, meeting standard specifications, is expected to begin within the next two days, following a plant shutdown since February 2025.
