The Attorney General’s Office reported yesterday that the Tripoli Criminal Court issued a verdict convicting the perpetrator of the kidnapping of 14 Tunisian nationals in 2019.
The kidnapping was for the purpose of forcing the Tunisian authorities to release a person arrested for committing a criminal act on Tunisian territory.
The court convicted the defendant and sentenced him to 12 years in prison with permanent deprivation of his civil rights.
