In a significant development for UK/Libyan business relations, the renowned UK-based firm, Concrete Canvas, is set to make a notable appearance at this year’s Libya Build exhibition in Tripoli. This marks a significant occasion as it will be the first time in many years that a British company has participated in Tripoli’s premier exhibition.

Concrete Canvas, celebrated for its groundbreaking contributions to the construction and engineering sectors, will introduce its award-winning Concrete Canvas® and CC Hydro™ products to the Libyan market. These products are acclaimed for their versatility, environmental benefits, and efficiency, catering to a wide range of sectors including transportation, petrochemical, mining, agriculture, utilities, and public works.

Potential to significantly assist Libya in various sectors
Jon Hancock of the British Libyan Business Association (BLBA) highlighted the significance of this participation, stating, “UK companies like Concrete Canvas possess the potential to significantly assist Libya in various sectors. Their innovative solutions, particularly in water management and infrastructure development, can play a crucial role in addressing challenges such as flooding, irrigation and erosion thus benefiting the Libyan community immensely. We are proud to support Concrete Canvas in their endeavour to engage with, and contribute to, the Libyan market.”

Hancock further added “This exhibition is a promising opportunity for strengthening business ties between the UK and Libya, showcasing how British innovation can contribute positively to the Libyan infrastructure and beyond. I believe that this is only the start of British companies re-engaging with Libya and I hope it may be the catalyst required to encourage many other UK companies to engage. The BLBA looks forward to assisting other UK companies enter Libya over the next few months”.
