In the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, on Tuesday, May 16, at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Sarajevo Canton, a cooperation agreement was signed between Misrata Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, represented by its president Fathi Al-Amin, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sarajevo Canton, represented by its President, Muammar Mahmud Fitch.

Commenting exclusively to Libya Herald on the signing of the agreement, Al-Amin, said “The agreement comes in order to enhance economic and commercial cooperation between the two chambers in Libya and Bosnia’’.

Bosnian delegation to visit Misrata
He revealed that preparations are underway for a visit of a delegation of businessmen from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Misrata for close discussions with the decision-makers at Misrata Chamber, as well as to visit the institutions, companies and factories in the city with the endeavour to organize a Libyan-Bosnian exhibition in the city.

Encouraging increase in trade
Al-Amin referred to the encouraging increase in the volume of trade exchange between Libya and Bosnia, especially since the conditions are favourable to enhance that cooperation, and that the Misrata Chamber is ready to provide all the necessary facilities for the successful implementation of the terms of the joint agreement.

It is worth noting that Libya is a shareholder in the Bosnalijek Pharmaceutical Company, through the Economic and Social Development Fund, with a share of 6%.
