Libya’s Libico olive oil from Gharian wins another international prize

London, 27 May 2021:

Gharian Municipality revealed last week that its locally produced Libico brand of olive oil won another international prize.

This is the third international prize Libico has won having won a prize in Berlin (GOOA 2021) in April and a prize in Tokyo (JOOP 2021) earlier in May.

It won a silver medal at the EVO Italy International Olive Oil Competition (IOOC) 2021 of Italy. There were 650 participating companies from 36 producing countries of olive oil in the contest.

The competition reports that its competition has been inducted by World Ranking Extra Virgin Olive Oil among the top five international extra virgin olive oil contests and the first in Italy.

It also reports that it attracts international attention and arbitration from a jury of the most famous figures in the olive oil sector from Italy, France. Greece, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Canada and others to determine the best olive oils in the world.
