This came through the intervention of a so-called ‘‘conflict resolution’’ force: The 52nd Infantry Brigade.

The Brigade arrived as a neutral force from outside the conflict area and is aligned with the Tripoli government. Announcing its arrival the Brigade stated:

‘‘In implementation of the instructions of the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army and the Commander of the West Coast Military Region

The 52nd Infantry Brigade announces that the security situation in the city of Surman is safe and the road is open and suitable for use the public
