Kufra International Airport reported today that installation of the baggage handling and passenger reception system has began.
This comes after the arrival last Thursday (13 August) of four containers carrying the baggage handling and passenger reception system at the airport - with support from the National Development Agency (NDA).
Yesterday, the NDA began installing and equipping the systems within the airport in preparation for their commissioning.
Kufra Airport said this step is part of the ongoing development and modernization work at the airport aimed at improving the level of services provided to passengers.
It is also aimed at streamlining baggage handling, organizing arrival and departure procedures, and increasing operational efficiency within the airport.
Development work continues at the airport to enhance its readiness to keep pace with air traffic and provide better services to passengers, it added.
