The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced yesterday that the country’s electricity crisis is easing.
The beleaguered company confirmed that, contrary to fake social media reports, all generation units are currently operating on the public electrical grid and that the grid is experiencing significant stability.
GECOL denied reports circulating about any (Khoms power station) generation units going out of service, affirming that all units are functioning normally.
Scheduled maintenance continues
It stressed that any work that is being carried out falls under scheduled operational procedures and routine maintenance aimed at maintaining the efficiency of generation units and enhancing the stability of the electrical grid.
