Chinese Nantong Construction Company is ready to finance several investment and industrial projects in Libya.
The revelation came during the meeting held today between the Minister of Housing and Reconstruction, Essam Al-Tamouni, and representatives of Nantong at the Ministry's Tripoli headquarters.
The meeting was in the presence of Khaled Rashid, a member of the High Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation, and ministry advisors, to discuss partnership and investment opportunities between the two sides.
The meeting reviewed the areas of work of the Chinese company and its subsidiaries, which specialize in various sectors, primarily the establishment and equipping of building materials factories such as bricks, ceramics, and gypsum.
Company representatives also expressed their full readiness to finance several investment and industrial projects within Libya.
The meeting also addressed possible avenues of cooperation in the field of modern technologies for prefabricated and manufactured buildings. To further this step, both parties agreed to exchange data and communication channels to coordinate detailed working sessions in the coming period.
The Chinese company will submit a comprehensive profile outlining its commercial activities and a list of projects and sectors in which it can contribute in partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Reconstruction.
